Tri County Challenger Baseball, Inc.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Challenges come in many sizes.  The young people participating in our Little League program are small in stature but challenged each and every day with big illnesses.  The Challenger program is baseball designed for mentally and physically challenged youth in an athletic environment structured to their needs.  We play baseball each Saturday morning from January to May in southwest Florida.  We also participate in other fun events throughout the season, providing a positive impact which they all enjoy.

On Saturday, May 12 we are holding our annual Charity Golf Tournament at Olde Hickory Golf and Country Clubin Fort Myers.  Revenue from this will offset some of our expenses and keep our kids smiling throughout the season.  Would you please help us?

You can help by:

-Becoming a $100.00 hole sponsor at our tournament

-Providing gifts or prizes for our golfers

-Registering a foursome for the Tournament

-Registering as a Single golfer

Sheriff’s Summer Youth Program

State of Florida

County of Lee

Dear Potential Supporters,

The Office of the Sheriff is proud to announce the return, of our 16th annual, “Sheriff’s Summer Youth Program”.  The Sheriff’s Office would like to extend sincere thanks to all the local businesses that supported the Sheriff’s Summer Youth Program in the past.  Because of your generous donations deputy counselors served over 625 local youths last summer ages 11 to 13.  This summer’s program will provide your the opportunity to particiapte in a dynamic experience that will motivate them to be one of tomorrow’s leaders.  The theme of the program is about “Empowering Youth for Tomorrow”.  The students will participate in various law enforcement demonstrations, public service demonstrations and educational seminars.

Starting the month of January thru the month of April, uniformed representatives from the Youth Services Division of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office will be visiting local business.  These representatives will be giving area business the opportunity to be a part in changing local children’s lives.  Your support to this program is vital and deeply appreciated.  Past supporters have helped our “Youth” by helping with donations of gift certificates, overnight stays, or items that will be used for raffles, auctions, and door prizes at our upcoming bowling benefit on April 21st, 2012.  The bowling event is attended by 200 adult bowlers who pay an entry fee and can buy raffle tickets and participate in the live and silent auctions to raise money for the Sheriff’s Summer Youth Program.  Proceeds from this event help to fund the entire summer program.

This is an innovative partnership that serves as a perfect example of how individuals, businesses and law enforcement can work together to create a positive environment for our youth.  Again let me extend sincere appreciation for your generous donations in the past.  If you need further details about the “Sheriff’s Summer Youth Program”, or wish to enroll a child in this program, please call Pam Dobson at 239-258-3200.

Sincerely,

Sheriff

Dear Friend of Education:

We are contacting you on behalf of the Rhythm in Motion Showcase.  The Rhythm in Motion Showcase proceeds will directly support the Foundation for Lee County Public School’s Dancing Classrooms program.  This annual event now in its 3rd year, will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012.  The theme this year is Rhythm in Motion’s Time Machine.  We need your donation to make this a successful event.  Last year, the auction raised over $5,000 for this much needed social development program.

-Dancing Classrooms uses a curriculum-based teaching approach to achieve social awareness and build self-esteem.  Students are taught the vocabulary of various contemporary social dances in a classroom setting.  Each class in the series introduces new steps, reinforcing what has been previously learned through practice and repetition.

-Our mission is to build social awareness, confidence and self-esteem in children through the practice of social dance.  This is a 10 week 20 lesson program.

-Through standards-based, in-school residences, we use the vocabulary of ballroom dance to cultivate the positive feelings that are inherent in every child.  The maturity necessary to dance together fosters respect, teamwork, confidence and a sense of joy and accomplishment which we hope to bring to every child.  Ballroom dance is the medium we use to nurture these qualities.

We are requesting items to be auctioned off that night.

For your generous donation, you will receive:

-Complete description of donated items (including donor name) to appear in the Auction Program.

-Letter identifying the Foundation’s 501C3 non-profit status for tax purposes.

In addition to the above, donors of items over $500.00 value will also receive:

-Recognition in Foundation Annual Report to the Community (circ. 2500)

-Recognition in Foundation’s newsletter (circ 2500)

-Recognition on Foundation’s website

Dear Friends and Community Business Managers,

SUBJECT:  Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon Fundraiser for Local Junior ROTC Scholarships.

The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is a national organization of active, former and retired commissioned and warrant officers of the Armed Forces of the United States with a primary focus on the well-being of all members of the armed services.  The Calusa Chapter (CCMOAA) is one of 42 chapters in the state of Florida.  With community involvement as a second primary focus, local MOAA chapters nationwide raise funds for the awarding of scholarships for qualifying graduating high school seniors in their respective areas who are active members of the JROTC.  Students from are selected based on academic excellence, leadership qualities, participation in community activities, citizenship and the promise of being tomorrow’s leaders in the endeavor of their choice, be that military or civilian.

A key fundraiser for the scholarship program in the Cape Coral/Fort Myers area (jurisdiction of the Calusa Chapter) is our annual Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon-this year to be held on March 24th at the Palmetto-Pine Country Club in Cape Coral.  Through the sale of tickets and through the lively raffles that occur during the Fashion Show event, a significant addition to our scholarship program is realized.  Typically over 125 people attend the fashion show… which has been held for nearly 25 years.

Gift certificates, merchandise and services donated by community minded businesses like yours are what make the difference!!  The Calusa Chapter appreciates any contribution you are able to make in order to have this year’s event be even a bigger success than that of last year.  Interestingly, though the economy is less strong than now than in recent years, our fundraising efforts in the last few years have been successful-because of the generosity of folks like you!  We are proud and grateful to have been able to continue the awarding of scholarships without interruption.

We ask that you be part of our success this year.  Recipients of our scholarship awards thank you in advance, as do all members of our local Calusa Chapter of MOAA.

God Bless America!

Shirley
